Youth Guidance Foster Care - Foster Care Specialist – Battle Creek: Full-time position.
Provide direct service to clients, interact with clients, foster parents and foster children. Includes transporting clients, overseeing family visitation, assisting in case related activities on an as needed basis. Involves case management, assessment of family situation, court appearances, service planning, report writing and provision with a team approach.
Minimum qualifications; Bachelor degree in social work, psychology, guidance and counseling, or a human services curriculum that meets the needs of the program (as determined by DHS policy). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability and commitment to work flexible hours a must. Ability to implement physical assistance/intervention as warranted. Ability to regularly provide out-of-office service in clients' homes and/or community settings in non-structured unpredictable situations. Base annual salary is $25,000, with adjustments for advanced degree and relevant experience. Business mileage paid. Health insurance benefits. (See application form above.)
Youth Guidance Foster Care - Adoption Specialist – Battle Creek: Full-time position.
Conduct quality family assessments, placement and post placement supervision. Maintain compliance with agency guidelines, and state licensing regulations. Provide direct service to clients, interact with clients, foster parents and foster children. Includes transporting clients, overseeing family visitation, assisting in case related activities on an as needed basis. Involves case management, assessment of family situation, court appearances, service planning, report writing and provision with a team approach.
