History and Background

Established in 1968 as Battle Creek Area Youth For Christ, CityLinC has grown over the years to become a major part of the community. The acronym LinC in our name stands for “Living in Christ.” We believe that we are called to serve others with competent care, compassionate commitment and Christ-like character.

Our Mission
CityLinC connects children and youth to loving families, families to secure futures, individuals to caring community, and community to personal faith. We do this through our foster care and adoption program, our mentor program for parolees, and our community connections events and services, which help build positive relationships in our community. (See our staff and Board of Directors)

Our Vision
CityLinC focuses on children and youth who are at risk, fortifies families who need additional resources, frees individuals to experience their God-given potential, facilitates community where separation exists, and fosters faith where there is no hope.
