​CityLinC is a non-profit, faith-based organization located in Battle Creek, Michigan. Founded in 1968, our primary mission is to help high-risk children and youth, as well as their families, in times of crisis and transition. All people are welcome here regardless of background or belief. We offer a wide variety of compassionate services for children, teenagers, and families. We also partner with other community organizations throughout the area to provide needed support to people facing challenges.

Youth Guidance Foster Care & Adoption Center

Children in foster care need safe, nurturing homes to provide love and stability. CityLinC's Youth Guidance Foster Care & Adoption program provides free assessments, training, and ongoing support to those who desire to become foster parents to provide that safe place. (Learn more)


Thousands of children in Michigan are in need of foster care today. CityLinC has helped hundreds of families experience the joy that comes with caring for a child in need. All ages. All backgrounds. All shapes and sizes. It’s a transforming experience for everyone involved. Our Youth Guidance Foster Care & Adoption program is fully licensed by the State of Michigan.

Second Wind Mentors

CityLinC's Second Wind Mentors program works closely with Michigan Prisoner Re-Entry and the Calhoun County Parole Office to provide life coaches, mentoring and work opportunities to those released from the prison system. Our mission is to serve released prisoners, and their families, during the re-entry process so they can become productive members of society. (Learn more)

Red Wagon Partnership

Red Wagon is a partnership of individuals and organizations who agree that every child deserves caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, a good education, and opportunities to help others. By working together, we help provide the practical and essential resources that local families need to help their children succeed in life, not just today, but for years to come in every neighborhood of Calhoun County, Michigan. Stuff-A-Bus Program

Stuff-A-Bus is our annual summer campaign that collects school supplies for children in need.
Working with more than 100 local organizations and hundreds of individual donors, we collect school supplies and small backpacks for lower-income children. The supplies are delivered to local schools in late August for distribution to children in need in early September. (Learn more)

Community Connections

CityLinC provides many Community Connections events and services to improve our city and surrounding areas. Our events include our annual Stuff-a-Bus Drive, Red Wagon campaign, Girls' Night Out events, and more.
